We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented International Shipping/Packer to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, packing, and shipping international orders with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in warehouse operations, materials handling, and shipping procedures will ensure timely delivery and maintain high standards of quality control. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in inventory management, safety protocol adherence, contributing significantly to our global distribution efforts.
Key responsibilities include managing order fulfillment processes, ensuring accurate barcode scanning for logistics, and coordinating shipping and receiving activities. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Prepare products for international shipment by packaging items securely according to shipping standards and company policies.
- Use barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately pick, pack, and track orders.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify order accuracy and ensure proper packing standards are met.
- Manage inventory levels through regular stock counts, inventory management systems, and proper documentation.
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes by coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping labels, and completing necessary documentation for international freight.
- Follow safety protocols diligently by using personal protective equipment (PPE), manual handling techniques, and adhering to safety guidelines during all operations.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock placement and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and improve overall warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international shipping requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers; previous warehouse supervisor experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures for international freight including documentation requirements.
- Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights or dimensions related to packing.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to warehouse work environments.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking & packing processes.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members across various functions.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
