Blending Operator

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Blending Operator to oversee daily blending and milling operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for coordinating production activities, ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with safety and food safety standards, and supporting overall operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, food-grade production, or blending operations and can effectively lead production workflows while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and oversee all blending and milling room activities from start to finish.
  • Complete all stages of production, including picking, staging, pre-inspections, batching, processing, changeovers, and cleanup.
  • Accurately review batch tickets and production documentation to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Verify all raw materials and production components before use.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of production processes, product flow, and related documentation.
  • Lead daily production activities to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality goals are achieved.
  • Support and perform all Material Handler duties as needed.
  • Operate production equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Complete production logs, batch records, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Dismantle, clean, inspect, and reassemble production equipment according to SOPs.
  • Ensure finished products meet quality standards before packaging and shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work environment.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, food safety requirements, GMP, OSHA, SQF, PPE, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to promote a safe and productive workplace.
  • Work additional hours, alternative shifts, or up to 12-hour shifts when business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in blending, mixing, milling, or food-grade manufacturing
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience
  • Experience using RF scanners or scan guns
  • Prior leadership or team lead experience in a production environment
  • Knowledge of GMP and food safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, and palletize materials weighing up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow all safety procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
