Job Summary
Our client in Mentor, Ohio is seeking an experienced Tool Room Machinist to support the maintenance, repair, and production of precision tooling and components. The ideal candidate will have strong machining skills and experience working with manual and/or CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other tool room equipment.
• Manufacture and repair precision tooling, fixtures, dies, and machine components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Set up and operate machines to produce close-tolerance parts.
• Perform milling, turning, drilling, grinding, and other machining operations.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tooling and fixtures.
• Maintain accurate dimensions and tolerances throughout the machining process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool room.

Qualifications

• Previous Tool Room Machinist experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques.
• CNC machining experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Manufacturing or precision machining experience preferred.
