Network Field Operations Engineer: This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with a growing telecommunications organization in the Bloomington, Indiana area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in fiber optics, telecommunications, or network operations while gaining hands-on experience supporting a fiber network. As a Network Field Operations Engineer, you will assist with network maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, customer activations, and service restoration activities. You'll work closely with remote technical teams to help ensure reliable network performance and customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of fiber optic network infrastructure
• Assist with customer activations, service repairs, and outage restoration
• Perform fiber testing and basic network diagnostics
• Inspect network equipment, cabinets, and field infrastructure
• Document testing results, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Work with engineering and network operations teams to resolve technical issues
• Verify contractor work and report quality concerns
• Participate in emergency response and after-hours support when needed
• Follow all company and industry safety standards

Pay & Benefits:

• $65,000-$75,000 plus bonus opportunity

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or technical training in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT, or a related field preferred
• 1-3 years of telecommunications, utility, networking, field service, or related technical experience
• Basic understanding of fiber optic networks and troubleshooting concepts
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the local market

Preferred:

• Exposure to fiber optic or broadband networks
• Experience using testing equipment or troubleshooting technical systems
• Knowledge of outside plant, utilities, telecommunications, or network infrastructure
