Monday through Friday – 2pm to 10:30pm

Family-owned food service company in Pasadena specializing in premium quality fresh pasta, following the authentic recipes of the Italian tradition, is looking for a Production Line and Packaging Operator to join their team.

Summary: Candidate will work in a food manufacturing production and packing line and be responsible for setup, sorting, packing, quality checks and cleaning the production equipment/areas. Must be able to handle a cold work environment, this position packs refrigerated product (32F-40F) & frozen product (-8F-10F).

Responsibilities:

• Sorting food products, separating defect products and dispersing products.
• Inspecting quality of product and packaging.
• Inspecting product to confirm everything is correct.
• Sorting and dispersing products on production line.
• Catching and weighing packages on pack line.
• Labeling of cases.
• Packing cooked finished products in boxes.
• Palletize finished cases on pallets.
• Maintain working areas organized and clean.
• Assist with equipment clean up during product changes or shift end.
• Help with early line set up at shift start.
• Assist with film loading.
• Remove Plastic waste from end of pack line.
• Miscellaneous tasks asks as needed by Production Supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Able to work in a cold environment.
• Experience operating a pallet jack.
• Self-motivated team player.
• Responsible and reliable.
• Ability to understand and follow all safety procedures.
• Ability to perform physical activities like bending, standing for periods of time, lift (up to 40 Lbs.), push, pull, crouch, reach, twist.
• All production employees are required to wear protective gear which includes a face mask, smock, cap, gloves, bead cover, etc.
• During production, there will be times when your tasks and responsibilities will vary due to production needs assigned by the Production Supervisor.
• Employee must be able to adapt and be flexible on the job.
