Salary: $19.00 - $23.00/Hour
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Relief Worker to provide support in a community-based service environment. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day operations, provide respectful support to individuals accessing services, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, complete basic documentation, and respond appropriately to routine and unexpected situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general support and assistance to individuals accessing services
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment
- Assist with day-to-day operations and general administrative duties
- Complete basic documentation and communicate relevant information to staff
- Respond appropriately to concerns, conflicts, and unexpected situations
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Assist with general cleaning, organization, meals, and other operational duties as required
- Work cooperatively with staff and follow established policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a support, community service, customer service, or similar environment is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required
Wage: $19.00 - $23.00/Hour
