Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our firearms sales team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of firearms, shooting sports, and related accessories, along with a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting customers with firearm purchases, educating customers on products, maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and supporting daily retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with selecting firearms, ammunition, optics, and related accessories.
• Comfortable with being on camera for social media
• Provide accurate product information and recommendations based on customer needs.
• Conduct firearm sales in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
• Complete required paperwork and background check procedures accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of current firearms, accessories, and industry trends.
• Merchandise products and ensure displays are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Process sales transactions and handle cash, credit card, and electronic payments.
• Promote firearm safety and responsible ownership practices.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments, and stock replenishment.
• Build lasting relationships with customers through professional and friendly service.

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and shooting accessories.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and follow all firearm sales regulations and store policies.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

• Previous firearms retail or sporting goods sales experience.
• Experience with ATF Form 4473 procedures and NICS background checks.
• Competitive shooting, hunting, military, law enforcement, or firearms industry experience.
• Firearms safety certifications or training.
