MIG Welder / Fabricator

We are hiring an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator for a production-oriented manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone who can read blueprints, fabricate parts from start to finish, and consistently produce quality welds while meeting production and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG (GMAW/wire) welding on metal components and assemblies

• Fabricate parts from start to finish according to supplied drawings and specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written work instructions

• Measure, fit, position, and weld metal pieces within required specifications

• Perform basic shop mathematics and calculations

• Use basic shop measuring instruments to verify dimensions and finished work

• Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for quality and accuracy

• Maintain an organized and clean work area

• Follow all company quality, production, and safety standards

Requirements:

• Previous welding experience in a production or manufacturing environment required

• Must be proficient with MIG/GMAW wire welding; this is not a stick-welding position

• Fabrication experience strongly preferred

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings

• Ability to fabricate components from start to finish within specified tolerances

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and diagrams

• Basic shop math and measuring skills

• Strong attention to quality and detail

• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work consistently in a production environment

• 5 years of welding/fabrication experience preferred

Weld Test:
Qualified candidates will complete a hands-on welding test involving sheet metal using MIG welding techniques. The test may include flux-core wire and .040 wire.
