Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Shipping Associate / Yard Hand to support our shipping, receiving, warehouse, and yard operations. This role is responsible for operating material handling equipment, staging outbound shipments, verifying shipment accuracy, maintaining an organized shipping yard, and supporting production material flow. The ideal candidate has experience in forklift operation, shipping and receiving, warehouse logistics, inventory handling, material movement, and equipment operation in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and overhead crane safely and efficiently.
• Stage outgoing loads for shipment.
• Create load sheets and shipping documentation.
• Audit loads to verify shipment accuracy.
• Transport raw materials to production areas.
• Move finished products and stage materials for shipping or distribution.
• Complete Bills of Lading and other required shipping paperwork.
• Inspect incoming products and materials.
• Empty and move hoppers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping yard and work area.
• Assist with additional warehouse, shipping, yard, and material handling duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic math, counting, and measurement skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately complete shipping paperwork, load sheets, Bills of Lading, and related documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous forklift experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
