Maintenance Technician

Location: Winona, MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (Flexible)
Pay: $20.00-$22.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of residential properties. This hands-on role is responsible for completing work orders, assisting with apartment turnovers, performing preventative maintenance, and helping maintain safe, clean, and welcoming communities.

The ideal candidate has experience with general building maintenance, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering quality work and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, appliances, HVAC systems, doors, locks, drywall, and other building components.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, painting, carpet cleaning, and general repairs.
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and exterior spaces.
• Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
• Participate in on-call maintenance responsibilities as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Assist with snow removal and seasonal property maintenance. 

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, or property maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, HVAC systems, and general repairs.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Clean background check required. 

Preferred:

• Apartment, residential, or commercial property maintenance experience.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with work order management systems.
• Previous on-call maintenance experience. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and carry materials and equipment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions as needed.
