Salary: $28.00–$32.00/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking a CNC Operator to join their team.

CNC Operator Highlights:

  • Safely and efficiently operate CNC lathes to cut API and Premium connections.
  • Set up and change cutting tools, inserts, and specialized machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret part drawings, blueprints, charts, and machining specifications.
  • Plan the sequence of machining operations to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Use handheld measuring instruments to verify parts meet required specifications.
  • Perform quality checks and gauge threads according to applicable specifications.
  • Operate tubular loading systems as required.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and routine cleanup of CNC equipment.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas according to safety and operational standards.
  • Support shop efficiency, customer satisfaction, and timely job completion.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior employees as required.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and support incident reporting and compliance.
  • Perform additional machining and shop duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar CNC, machining, oilfield, commercial, industrial, or construction environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of CNC machining operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and charts.
  • Experience using handheld measuring and precision instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of API 5CT, 5B, 5B1, 7-1, and/or 7-2 is an asset.
  • Red Seal Journeyman certification, WHMIS, and First Aid are considered assets.

Hours & Wage:

  • Full-time position
  • Monday to Friday
  • $28.00–$32.00/hour
