Mechanic (Maintenance Technician)

 

Shifts (3 openings)

1st – 7:30am-4:00pm

2nd- 3:30pm-12:00am AND

3rd- 11:30pm-8:00am

 

 

Our client in Monmouth County, NJ is looking for a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to be part of our growing team. What You’ll Be Doing

 

· Sets up production equipment to run scheduled production

· Discusses difficulties in operating equipment with machine operators to isolate problems and then troubleshoots the machine to determine the cause and repairs required.

· Must be able to read and follow directions as found in technical manuals as well as be able to document any changes they are involved in. 

· Performs necessary repairs on equipment to keep it in top running order.

· Must be able to perform major mechanical overhauls of some packaging equipment

· Carries out required preventative maintenance on equipment.

· Assists in determining required design modifications and makes approved modifications to equipment.

· Performs tasks in accordance with approved procedures and following all safety procedures and GMPs

· Provides coverage for mechanics on other shifts, as needed.

· Must be able to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting.

· Other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

· Minimum 4 years mechanical experience in manufacturing environment

· Ability to stand and walk for periods of time

· Able to work scheduled overtime or shift changes when required

· Able to lift to 50 pounds periodically throughout the manufacturing shift and meet physical requirements of position including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, reaching with both hands/arms, ability to visually inspect product

· Basic math skills

· Excellent communication skill set (verbal, written, etc.)

 

 

Pay Range- $30-$34 per hour depending on experience
