Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to join an apartment community maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems, as well as assisting with general apartment and property maintenance to ensure residents have a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems in apartments and common areas.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units and related equipment.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests and service calls promptly.
- Perform routine inspections of HVAC systems and identify potential issues.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs as needed.
- Prepare apartments for new residents, including HVAC inspections and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Follow all safety procedures and property maintenance standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations when required.
Qualifications
- Previous HVAC maintenance experience required.
- Apartment or property maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
- EPA certification preferred.
- HVAC certification or technical training is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends or on-call responsibilities as needed.
