Material Handler – Trailer Manufacturing

Position Summary

We're looking for a dependable Material Handler to support production in a trailer manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for moving, organizing, and supplying materials to production areas while maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.

Job Duties

  • Move raw materials, parts, components, and finished products throughout the facility.

  • Supply production workstations with the materials needed to keep assembly lines running.

  • Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, racks, and storage areas.

  • Use carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as assigned.

  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.

  • Verify materials against work orders, labels, or production requirements.

  • Inspect materials for damage and report shortages or discrepancies.

  • Stage components and parts for upcoming production jobs.

  • Assist with loading and preparing completed trailers or components for shipment.

  • Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records as required.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

  • Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.

  • Assist production and warehouse teams with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, material handling, or construction experience preferred.

  • Forklift experience is a plus.

  • Ability to safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move materials throughout the workday.

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

  • Ability to safely handle heavy or bulky materials.

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around noise, equipment, and varying temperatures.
