Gear Assembler – Off-Road Vehicle Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are seeking a mechanically inclined Gear Assembler to join our growing team. This position is ideal for candidates with automotive mechanic, drivetrain, differential, or rear-end assembly experience. The Gear Assembler will be responsible for assembling and installing gears, bearings, seals, and related drivetrain components for high-performance off-road vehicle applications.

Candidates with experience building, rebuilding, or servicing Dana-style rear ends, Ford 9" rear ends, differentials, axles, or other automotive drivetrain components are highly encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install gears, bearings, seals, and related drivetrain components.
  • Build and assist in the assembly of Dana-style and Ford 9" rear-end assemblies.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, specifications, and work orders.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring equipment to complete assemblies.
  • Verify proper gear setup, alignment, and fitment of components.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot and identify assembly concerns when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive mechanic, automotive assembly, or drivetrain repair experience preferred.
  • Experience working with gears, differentials, rear ends, axles, or suspension components is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and assembly procedures.
  • Knowledge of automotive components and basic mechanical systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Preferred Experience

  • Building or rebuilding Dana-style rear ends.
  • Building or rebuilding Ford 9" rear ends.
  • Differential setup and gear installation.
  • Automotive repair or maintenance experience.
  • Off-road, performance vehicle, racing, or custom fabrication experience.
  • Manufacturing or production assembly experience.

Automotive mechanics, gear installers, axle builders, differential technicians, drivetrain assemblers, and mechanically inclined individuals are encouraged to apply.
