Location: Morris, IL
Pay: $22–$25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM, with some Saturdays

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Skilled Laborer to join our team in Morris. This position is ideal for someone with experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, steel fabrication, or a general shop environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating equipment, handling materials, following production instructions, and working safely in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate automated sawmill equipment and punch press machinery
• Read and accurately use a tape measure
• Move steel and raw materials throughout the shop
• Safely operate a sit-down forklift/material handler
• Follow work instructions and production schedules
• Load, unload, and transport materials as needed
• Assist with general warehouse and shop duties
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
• Perform other duties as needed to support daily production

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, steel, fabrication, or shop experience preferred
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Forklift/material handling experience preferred
• Comfortable working around machinery and handling steel/raw materials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work a full-time schedule
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently with minimal supervision

Compensation & Schedule

• $22–$25/hour
• Full-time, first-shift position
• Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Some Saturdays may be required
