Lathe Operator

Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Wyoming, IL seeking a Lathe Operator to join their team.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lathe Operator to operate CNC and/or manual lathes in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have machining experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathes according to job specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Load raw materials and monitor machine operations
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
Make routine machine adjustments to maintain quality standards
Perform basic maintenance and keep equipment clean
Maintain production records and documentation as required
Follow all safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

Previous lathe operation or machining experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
