Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a reputable manufacturing company in Wyoming, IL seeking a Horizontal Mill Setup Technician to join their team.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Horizontal Mill Setup Technician to set up and operate horizontal milling machines in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have machining experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain quality standards while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate horizontal milling machines according to job specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets
Perform first-piece inspections and quality checks
Make machine adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend solutions
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

Previous machining and mill setup experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
Knowledge of machine tooling, feeds, speeds, and setup procedures
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
