Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Shipping & Logistics Manager for a well-established manufacturing company in the Stevensville, MI area.

We are looking for a strong, process-driven leader who can oversee daily shipping and logistics operations, set clear expectations, hold employees accountable, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings structure, consistency, and a hands-on approach to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily shipping and logistics operations, ensuring materials and finished products move safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Manage, coach, and develop department employees while setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable for performance and established procedures.
• Coordinate outbound shipments, carrier activity, scheduling, and transportation requirements.
• Work closely with production, purchasing, customer service, and other departments to maintain efficient material and product flow.
• Identify and implement improvements to shipping, logistics, and material-handling processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, inventory concerns, and other operational issues.
• Monitor staffing, workflow, and department priorities to meet production and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipping and logistics documentation while ensuring compliance with company safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or management experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of shipping and logistics processes and procedures.
• Proven ability to lead employees, set expectations, and hold a team accountable.
• Process-oriented mindset with experience driving continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP, inventory, shipping, or warehouse management systems preferred.
