Yard Loader - 2nd Shift
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Mendota, IL to hire a 2nd Shift Yard Loader. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable, safety-focused individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse and yard environment.
Pay:
  • $21.50 per hour
Schedule:
  • 2nd Shift
  • Monday through Friday
  • 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
 
Job Summary
A Yard Loader is responsible for safely and accurately loading and unloading deliveries, operating forklifts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring quality standards are met. This position regularly interacts with company and non-company drivers, as well as will-call customers, and requires strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Report unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries immediately.
  • Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Safely operate forklifts and conduct routine equipment inspections.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
  • Perform final visual inspections and label finished products.
  • Provide excellent customer service while assisting drivers and customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper product rotation.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of product specifications and packaging requirements.
  • Assist with housekeeping and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility

    Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic inventory and math skills.
  • Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn.
