We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / CNC Router Operator to join our team. This role is critical to supporting production goals by programming, setting up, and operating multiple CNC routers to manufacture high-quality plastic components. The ideal candidate will have experience programming from customer drawings, creating CAD models, and ensuring parts meet dimensional and cosmetic quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC routers on a daily basis.
  • Utilize customer-supplied drawings and files (DXF, DWG) to create CNC programs.
  • Create drawings and models from scratch when required.
  • Program parts using Fusion 360 software.
  • Interpret and edit G-code (preferred).
  • Operate Thermwood and Laguna CNC routers safely and effectively.
  • Perform quality inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and appearance.
  • Work closely with the Production Supervisor to establish and maintain production schedules.
  • Prepare programs in advance to ensure jobs are completed by required due dates.
  • Maintain accurate production records and document finished goods.
  • Perform post-processing and finishing operations on completed parts as required.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience programming and operating CNC routers.
  • Proficiency with Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience working with DXF and DWG files.
  • Knowledge of G-code programming preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Thermwood CNC Router experience
  • Laguna CNC Router experience
  • CAD design and model creation
  • Plastic fabrication/manufacturing experience
