We are seeking dependable General Laborers to join a silver recycling operation in Santa Teresa, NM. This position involves primarily outdoor work and requires employees to perform physically demanding tasks, including sorting and moving recyclable materials, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and assisting with general recycling operations.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and able to work as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sort, separate, and organize recyclable silver-containing materials and other materials as directed.
• Load, unload, move, and stack materials using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques.
• Assist with receiving and preparing materials for processing.
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment as trained.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas, both inside and outside the facility.
• Remove debris, scrap, and waste materials from work areas.
• Assist machine operators and other production employees as needed.
• Follow instructions for handling, transporting, and storing materials.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and work areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or other concerns to management.
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous general labor, warehouse, recycling, manufacturing, or construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
• Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, windy, and dusty conditions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be safety-conscious and willing to follow all company procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed outdoors in an industrial recycling environment. Employees may be exposed to heat, cold, wind, dust, noise, scrap materials, and other typical industrial conditions. Proper PPE will be required and provided as applicable.
