Journeyman Welder

Salary: $40.00+/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking a Journeyman Welder to join their team.

Journeyman Welder Highlights:

• Fabricate and assemble steel structures from blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Cut, weld, and join metal components using various welding and fabrication equipment.
• Perform structural welding on carbon steel using stick and MIG welding processes.
• Complete vertical and overhead welding to structural specifications.
• Use plasma cutters, torches, chop saws, grinders, and power tools to prepare and fabricate materials.
• Install doors, locks, fittings, and other structural components.
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all welding procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Journeyman Welder certification required.
• CWB Structural Welder certification for vertical and overhead welding required.
• Experience with stick and MIG welding on carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience using plasma cutters, torches, chop saws, grinders, and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and physically capable of performing welding and fabrication duties.

Hours & Wage:

• Full-time position
• $40.00+/hour, depending on experience
