Appliance Service Technician (Trainable for right candidate)

Express Employment Professionals is assisting a client in filling an Entry-Level Service Technician position based in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This role involves servicing appliances and will transition into larger projects as you gain experience and confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Service and repair appliances that include washers and dryers, Stoves, Refrigerators, Dishwasher etc.
• Diagnose issues, replace parts, and ensure machines are functioning safely and efficiently.
• Manage service tickets electronically, documenting work performed and ordering necessary replacement parts.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service while working with property managers, maintenance teams, and tenants.
• Follow company standards of integrity, reliability, and quality workmanship on every service call.

Training & Development:

• First 30 Days: Training guide provided, including computer-based simulations, “what would you do” scenario questions, and job shadowing with experienced technicians.
• 30–60 Days: Begin handling basic/easy service calls and gain hands-on experience working
• Upon transitioning to company payroll, technicians may move up to servicing residential appliances solo, with the potential for a $1–$2 per hour pay increase.

• Someone who doesn’t give up when faced with a problem, but instead tries different approaches (even researching solutions online if needed).
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-service minded.
• Must have a basic tool set
• Must have a valid driver's license with a decent MVR
