Structural Fitter

Pay: $22.00

Shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM | Monday to Friday (Saturdays as needed)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel fabrication and assembly, the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, and shape metal components to required dimensions.
• Assemble and install structural frameworks, supports, and related components.
• Perform welding, bolting, and riveting as required to complete assemblies.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Collaborate with engineers, welders, and other team members to meet project requirements.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, industry regulations, and job site procedures.
• Report any defects, material issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with the transportation, rigging, and positioning of heavy materials and structural components.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Structural Fitter or in a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and position heavy materials and work in an industrial environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with structural steel and metal fabrication projects.
• Familiarity with welding symbols and fabrication standards.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production or construction environment.
