Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is hiring on behalf of a respected public accounting firm in the St. Catharines area. This is a Tax Accounting position ideal for experienced professionals looking to step into a supervisory role within a collaborative, client-focused environment.
About the Role
As a Tax Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional accounting and tax services while leading and mentoring junior team members. You’ll oversee complex tax files, support audits, and ensure quality control in all client deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex T1 returns, T3s for estates and family trusts, and T4/T5 slips.
- Handle pre- and post-assessment responses with the CRA.
- Oversee CRA audit work (Payroll, HST, etc.) and ensure compliance.
- Review and assemble compilation and review engagements with a tax focus.
- Mentor and train co-op students and junior associates.
- Maintain and update departmental procedures for T1/T4/T5 preparation.
- Collaborate directly with clients and team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in tax accounting (preferred).
- Certification: CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA (preferred).
- Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Work Environment:
This position is in-person at the St. Catharines office, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
