Summary: The Junior Assembly & Packaging Supervisor will help lead and coordinate second-shift assembly and packaging operations, ensuring projects are staffed appropriately, organized efficiently, and completed accurately and on schedule. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable directing a team in a fast-paced production environment. The supervisor will help manage temporary staff, coordinate daily workflow, maintain production records, track hours, assist with inventory, and communicate closely with shipping and logistics teams. The successful candidate is a strong communicator who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to keep production moving.

Responsibilities:

  • Help lead and coordinate second-shift assembly and packaging operations.
  • Organize daily and weekly production workflows and help ensure jobs remain on schedule.
  • Review upcoming jobs and determine appropriate temporary staffing levels based on production requirements.
  • Help recruit, coordinate, direct, and manage temporary workers throughout production.
  • Assign work, monitor productivity, and provide clear direction to team members.
  • Track temporary employee hours and maintain accurate timekeeping records.
  • Maintain accurate production paperwork, job records, and other operational documentation.
  • Monitor workflow and identify production, staffing, or scheduling issues before they impact deadlines.
  • Communicate issues, changes, and production needs promptly to management.
  • Assist with inventory organization, counting, tracking, and maintaining an orderly production environment.
  • Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams as needed to ensure completed projects move efficiently.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and productive assembly and packaging area.
  • Assist with hands-on assembly, packaging, kitting, labeling, and other production tasks when needed.
  • Ensure work is completed accurately and according to project requirements and quality standards.
  • Help ensure the team remains productive, accountable, and focused on meeting deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support changing production requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Familiarity with assembly, packaging, warehouse operations, inventory, shipping, logistics, or production.
  • Previous experience directing, supervising, or coordinating a team is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working with temporary employees and managing a workforce that may change based on production.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent follow-through and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Comfortable giving direction and communicating expectations to a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactive problem-solver who can identify issues and communicate them quickly.
  • Comfortable working hands-on and stepping in to assist with production when necessary.
  • Proficient with computers and familiar with Monday.com and Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable working across both PC and Mac systems.
