The location in Kansas City, (Kansas, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Maintenance Supervisor. This job is full-time permanent.

 

Oversee and lead maintenance operations and manage other technicians to ensure equipment and facilities function efficiently while maintaining safety and operational standards.

 

· Ensure that maintenance schedules for preventive and predictive maintenance are followed to minimize downtime

· Build, supervise and lead the maintenance team in daily operations, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and mentoring staff

· Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and machinery to identify issues and ensure operational readiness

· Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities, including managing contractors and external service providers

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, asset histories, and compliance documentation

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, conducting risk assessments and enforcing safe working procedures

· Manage maintenance budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities

· Support operational goals by collaborating with other departments and responding to urgent maintenance needs

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, servo motors and drives, pneumatic and hydraulic breakdowns

· Proactively perform preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and adjustments

· Perform fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment to achieve effective operation.

· Actively participate in Continuous Improvement program (5s, TPM, Safety Committee)

· Ensure daily communications with other shifts and supervision

· Other duties as assigned

· Responsible for some facility Maintenance

 

· Strong team management, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities

· Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, and external partners

· Ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments, sometimes outdoors or in inclement weather

· Working knowledge of NEC Handbook

· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Ability to read and interpret documents, schematics, and drawings

· Proficient in troubleshooting Siemens and/Allen Bradley PLC’s and programs.

· Proficient in troubleshooting motor drive and motor problems with DC and AC systems.

· Proficiency with Microsoft office and the ability to learn new CMMS software.

·

· High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred

· 5 + yrs. experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical repairs with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.

· 2 + yrs. experience with troubleshooting Siemens, Allen Bradley, and other PLCs

· 2 + yrs. experience with troubleshooting AC, DC and Servo motors and drives is required

· Experience with troubleshooting Flexographic printing Presses Preferred

 

· The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to climb ladders and work at different elevations.

· Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and work above the head.
