Order Fulfillment Specialist I

Location: Jefferson, OR
PAY: $20–$22 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Assignment: Temporary, approximately 4 months

Position Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Order Fulfillment Specialist for a temporary assignment of approximately 4 months. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has strong computer skills, and can accurately manage customer orders, inventory, documentation, packaging, and shipping requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Review daily sales orders and plan the schedule for pulling, packaging, and shipping.
• Consolidate customer orders from inventory locations.
• Package and label orders according to customer and internal requirements.
• Inspect orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with sales orders.
• Maintain accurate electronic and written shipping records.
• Use computer systems to review and process order information.
• Communicate regarding order questions or potential shipping delays.
• Deliver customer orders accurately and on schedule.
• Identify and report nonconforming products or processes and assist with corrective actions.
• Assist with process and product improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety policies and properly use required PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong computer skills are required.
• Previous order fulfillment, shipping, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, 40-hour-per-week environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read engineering prints and follow work instructions.
• Ability to learn and remember part numbers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and complete tasks.
• Ability to accurately record and transfer numbers.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Light assembly experience preferred.
• Flexible and willing to assist with different assignments.
• Safe work habits and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
• Ability to team lift items weighing more than 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods when needed.
• Frequent mental and visual attention required.
• Ability to multitask and follow tasks through to completion.
