Express is seeking an Accountant/CPA for an accounting firm in Connellsville!

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients and handling a variety of accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with different types of clients, explaining financial information in an easy-to-understand way, and jumping in wherever needed to support the team.

 Pay: $35,000–$55,000/year based on experience.

Job Duties of the Accountant/CPA:

• Prepare and assist with business tax filings
• Handle sales tax reporting and related accounting responsibilities
• Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
• Assist clients with back-office accounting functions
• Process vendor payments and invoices
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting needs and questions
• Explain accounting and financial information in clear, easy-to-understand terms
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet client needs and deadlines
• Other duties as required

Qualifications of the Accountant/CPA:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 3–5 years of accounting experience
• CPA preferred or strong accounting background
• Experience with business taxes, sales tax, and payroll
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to explain complex financial information in layman's terms
• Comfortable working with a variety of customers and personalities
• Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to take on different responsibilities
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Reliability and professionalism
