Electrical Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
Seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform basic electrical maintenance, installation, and repair work in residential and commercial environments. This position requires hands-on experience with minor electrical installations, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace electrical components such as outlets, plugs, switches, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and similar equipment.
• Assist with residential and light commercial electrical installations.
• Read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed.
• Perform work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems and minor electrical installations.
• Experience wiring outlets, plugs, ceiling fans, lighting fixtures, and other common electrical components.
• Familiarity with electrical safety practices and proper tool usage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Previous electrical maintenance or handyman experience.
• Understanding of basic electrical troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to perform general maintenance tasks in addition to electrical work.
