Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Stick Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), be able to produce quality welds, and work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform stick welding on steel, structural components, pipe, and other metal materials.
• Set up and operate welding machines and equipment according to job specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding instructions.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning surfaces before welding.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and proper appearance.
• Perform repairs and modifications as needed.
• Use grinders, cutting torches, hand tools, and power tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Complete assigned work efficiently while meeting quality and production standards.

Qualifications

• Previous stick welding experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding specifications.
• Experience with SMAW welding equipment and techniques.
• Ability to use measuring tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as required.
• Must provide personal protective equipment as required by the employer.
