Warehouse Lead - Day Shift

Our client in Cedar Rapids is looking for a Day Shift Warehouse Lead!

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to support and supervise daily warehouse operations while ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient workflow. This position will provide hands-on leadership to warehouse employees, help coordinate daily assignments, monitor productivity, and ensure materials and shipments are handled accurately and safely. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking initiative, communicating with a team, and stepping in to help wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide direction to warehouse employees during daily operations
• Coordinate daily assignments and help keep the warehouse workflow on schedule
• Train and assist employees with proper procedures, safety practices, and order handling
• Check orders for accuracy before shipment
• Direct employees to properly wrap orders and ensure trucks are loaded efficiently and correctly
• Monitor inventory, picking, staging, and shipment processes for accuracy
• Communicate daily priorities, workflow concerns, and employee needs to management
• Help address attendance, performance, or workflow concerns as needed
• Lead by example while maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and productive warehouse
• Step in and assist with warehouse duties as needed to keep operations moving efficiently

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Previous lead, supervisory, or team leadership experience preferred
• Must be comfortable using a cell phone and scan gun
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Able to learn new products quickly and accurately
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to delegate tasks and keep employees on track
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Commitment to workplace safety and organization

Hours:

• Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Must be available to work Saturdays and weekends as required

Pay:

• $18.00 per hour
