Job description:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Dispatcher on behalf of our valued client based in Ashburn, VA. In this role. You’ll be responsible for assigning vehicles and drivers, managing routes, and maintaining communication with both customers and drivers to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assigns vehicles and drivers based on delivery needs and schedules
Coordinates inventory pulls with lift operators
Maintains accurate records of vehicle usage, deliveries, and expenses
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication, observation, and analytical skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Investigates delays or misrouted deliveries
Establishes and optimize delivery routes
Adapts quickly to new processes and changing situations
Provides excellent customer service to resolve delivery issues
Demonstrates responsibility, accountability, and reliability
Willing and able to learn new technology and systems
Works well with others and maintains positive teamwork
Performs well under pressure and in fast-paced environments
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Basic math proficiency
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Problem-solving skills in standardized situations

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to warehouse and outdoor conditions
Moderate noise level
Regular sitting with occasional standing
