Position Overview

The Aluminum Ingot Production Operator supports manufacturing operations by stacking aluminum ingots, operating and monitoring robotic palletizing equipment, transporting materials, banding finished product, and ensuring all production and safety standards are met.

Essential Responsibilities

• Stack aluminum ingots weighing approximately 28-30 pounds manually or monitor robotic palletizer operations.
• Operate forklifts to transport materials and move ingot stacks throughout the facility.
• Weigh and prepare ingot stacks for shipment and cooling.
• Band finished product according to customer requirements.
• Complete production records, heat sheets, and required documentation.
• Monitor equipment and production processes for quality and safety.
• Assist maintenance and warehouse personnel as needed.
• Assist with lockout/tagout procedures and equipment troubleshooting when required.

Work Environment

This position is located in a metal manufacturing facility and requires employees to work in a physically demanding environment.

Candidates must be comfortable with:

• Working in a manufacturing plant where temperatures can become elevated due to the metal production process.
• Wearing full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
• Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Repetitive physical activity and manual material handling.
• Working safely around industrial equipment, heavy machinery, forklifts, and automated systems.

What we look for:

Required

• Minimum of one year of manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.

Preferred

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
