FITNESS SPECIALIST

Salary: $14-$16/hr

Job Description
Fitness Specialists are responsible for monitoring the facility and providing assistance to members to ensure a safe and effective workout environment, especially but not limited to the two weight rooms. Fitness Specialists are responsible for, along with the Membership Specialists, opening and/or closing the facility each day as well as cleaning and maintaining fitness equipment and reporting facility issues to full-time staff. Fitness Specialists also assist full-time staff members with classes, programs and other activities when needed and perform front desk, membership and other administrative duties (i.e., answering questions, phone calls, assisting members, signing up new members, etc.). Fitness Specialists are also expected to create and execute fitness-based events and knowledge-sharing. A high level of customer service and professionalism required.

Shifts Needed

Opening Shift: 4:45-9:00AM
•
Middle Shift: 9:00AM-3:00PM
•
Closing Shift: 3:00-8:00PM
(Flexible on Opening Shift end time and Closing Shift start time if needed)
Experience
Must have 1 year of relevant experience, be enrolled in or have completed an Exercise Science program, or have a current certification.
