Job Overview

We are seeking dependable and hardworking General Labor Technicians to support an OP Cart Retrofit Project at a facility located inside an Amazon site in Channahon, IL. This position is with a subcontractor and is not employment with Amazon. Technicians will refurbish warehouse carts by replacing and installing various components to meet updated operational standards. 

Job Responsibilities

Technicians will perform tasks including: 

• Replacing handles and side frames
• Replacing braking systems
• Installing forklift tabs
• Replacing casters (wheels)
• Installing new netting
• Applying barcode stickers
• Removing and disposing of project materials and waste
• Completing additional tasks as directed by the supervisor

• Field service
• Assembly
• Maintenance
• Warehouse operations

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• Reliability and strong attendance
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor
• A safety-first mindset
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools and power drills
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic 

Requirements

• Background check required
• Drug screen required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, and work in a physically demanding environment throughout the shift
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts and overtime as needed 

Safety Equipment

• Safety shoes or work boots are required
• Client will provide:
  • Safety vest
  • Tools and equipment needed for the project

• Work is performed at a single location with no travel required. 
• This is a project-based assignment expected to last approximately one month.
