Forklift Operator

Located in Ottawa, ON

Salary: $25.00 to $26.00

Our client, a growing insulation installation company in Nepean, is looking for a Forklift Operator to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic warehouse environment with a variety of responsibilities, a supportive team, and long-term stability.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Previous warehouse and/or forklift experience required; 6-12 months of direct experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Certification is required
• Experience assisting with warehouse setup, relocation, or tear-down activities is considered an asset
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset
• Team-oriented individual who works well with others and contributes to a positive workplace culture
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently when required
• Must be comfortable working 30 hours per week (Part-time)
  

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Operate a forklift to move pallets of product around warehouse 
• Assist with the setup and organization of a new warehouse facility
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments, ensuring inventory is accurately stored and tracked
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard, including general property upkeep.
• Provide excellent customer service to walk-in customers, service technicians, and delivery personnel
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment and customer pickup
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate material handling equipment
• Support inventory control activities, including stock organization and replenishment
• Perform general warehouse duties and other tasks as required to support daily operations

Wage: $25.00 and $26.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 3:00pm
