Our growing client in Kanata is looking to add two (2) Fabricator/Welders to their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of custom fabrication projects and products supporting the commercial construction industry. Required Skills, and Qualifications:

  • MIG welding experience required (work, apprenticeship, or school); other welding experience is also welcome
  • Experience with fabrication, assembly, and the use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measuring instruments
  • Keen attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable, dependable, and takes pride in producing high-quality work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Physically capable of performing manufacturing and fabrication duties
  •  Flexible to work occasional overtime when required

Duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Fabricate and assemble a variety of products, including frames, screens, doors, lockers, whiteboards, chalkboards, and tack boards
  • Prepare window components and install a range of hardware and related accessories
  • Cut glass and assemble sealed unit kits according to production requirements
  • Install glass into doors, frames, and borrowed lites, ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, templates, and production specifications to complete fabrication projects
  • Sort and organize parts, metal, scrap materials, and other production components
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including equipment and workstations.
  • Move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility using manual handling techniques, hoists, and other material-handling equipment
  • Operate manufacturing and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks
  • Perform forklift operations when required and authorized
  • Support additional production and fabrication duties as assigned

Wage: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 4:00pm
