DL Class B Delivery Driver

Schedule: Full-Time
License Required: CDL Class B with current DOT Medical Card

Position Summary

Seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class B Driver to transport and deliver products from Kingston, PA to Long Island City, NY and surrounding metropolitan areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate delivery vehicles in high-traffic urban environments while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL Class B vehicle to transport and deliver products to customer locations throughout New York City and surrounding metro areas.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while following assigned routes and delivery schedules.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, driver logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and customer interactions.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel regarding route status, delivery issues, and schedule updates.
• Adhere to all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations and transportation requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B driver's license required.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) required.
• Clean driving record with a commitment to safe driving practices.
• Ability to navigate New York City and surrounding metropolitan areas.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products as required.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to enter and exit the vehicle frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in varying weather and road conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous route delivery or commercial driving experience.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and electronic logging systems.
• Experience driving in congested urban environments, including New York City.
