Express Employment Professionals is assisting a Park Rapids, MN manufacturing company in finding an experienced Machining Setup professional to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong CNC experience who can independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and make adjustments to CNC machinery.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce quality metal parts.
• Complete machine changeovers, zero machines, set work coordinates, and adjust offsets.
• Read, interpret, and edit CNC programs as needed.
• Change tooling and inserts and make adjustments for tool wear.
• Run multiple machines while monitoring production and quality.
• Inspect finished parts and identify defects or quality issues.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and work-holding issues.
• Monitor coolant and machine fluids and make adjustments as needed.
• Complete production paperwork, inspection reports, part counts, scrap tags, and other documentation.
• Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Help train other team members on machine operation and setup when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of CNC Operator experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Previous CNC machine setup experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math skills and ability to work with decimals.
• Ability to read measuring instruments and follow detailed work instructions.
• Basic understanding of tooling and machine setup.
• Ability to read and understand machine programs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for up to 100% of the shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements including bending, twisting, and walking.
• Ability to frequently lift/move up to 20 lbs., occasionally up to 33 lbs., and rarely up to 65 lbs.
• Ability to continuously operate machinery for extended periods.

This is a full-time, 1st shift, long-term opportunity. Day shift hours starting at $23-$31.50/hour depending on experience.
