Cable Technician – Taft, LA - D205

Pay: $26.00/hour

 

We are hiring an experienced Cable Technician for a position in Taft, Louisiana. This role involves installing, terminating, testing, and labeling network cabling and related equipment in an industrial environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with hand and power tools and operating a scissor lift.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and route network/data cable
• Perform jack terminations
• Test installed cabling using a cable tester
• Label cables accurately
• Install cable tray
• Install network cabinets
• Install cameras
• Use RJ45 crimping tools, hand tools, and drills
• Safely operate a scissor lift
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow jobsite safety procedures and installation requirements

Equipment & Tools Used

• Cable testers
• RJ45 crimping tools
• Scissor lifts
• Hand tools
• Power drills

Qualifications

• Previous cable installation, low-voltage, structured cabling, or related experience preferred
• Experience terminating and testing network cabling
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to safely operate a scissor lift
• Ability to work in an industrial/jobsite environment
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions
