Saw Operator – 1st Shift

We are seeking a dependable Saw Operator for a full-time, first-shift opportunity with a local metal fabrication manufacturer. This position is responsible for operating industrial saw equipment to cut sheets, bars, plates, and other metal materials to specified dimensions.

 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Overtime: Some overtime may be requested based on production needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate power saws to cut metal to specified lengths and dimensions.
• Load and position materials manually or with a hoist/crane.
• Align materials using guides, stops, and layout lines.
• Set machine stops and gauges for accurate cuts.
• Verify finished dimensions using tape measures, calipers, or templates.
• Cut various metal materials to required specifications.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with sheet metal.
• Knowledge of tooling and basic tool maintenance.
• Strong measurement skills, including fractions and decimal conversions.
• Ability to identify materials such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, and brass.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
