CNC Plasma Operator – 1st Shift

We are seeking a dependable CNC Plasma Operator for a full-time, first-shift opportunity with a local metal fabrication company. This position will be responsible for operating a CNC plasma table, monitoring quality, and ensuring materials are cut accurately to specifications.

 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Overtime: Some overtime may be requested based on production needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a CNC plasma table.
• Read SigmaNest layout specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Identify raw materials, including material grade and thickness.
• Monitor equipment for defects or malfunctions.
• Measure finished pieces to ensure accuracy.
• Complete required inspections, verification, and documentation.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.

Qualifications:

• Previous CNC plasma table experience preferred.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and stage raw materials.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
