Shop Hand / Hose Tester

Location: Beaumont, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Hand / Hose Tester to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, assembling, and maintaining industrial hoses while assisting with general shop operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrostatic pressure testing on industrial hoses.

• Inspect hoses and fittings for wear, damage, and defects.

• Assemble, repair, and crimp hydraulic and industrial hoses.

• Clean, organize, and maintain the shop and work areas.

• Load and unload materials and equipment.

• Assist with inventory control and stocking supplies.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.

• Accurately document test results and completed work.

• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

• Perform other shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous shop, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.

• Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions.

• Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to become certified).

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying temperatures throughout the shift.

• Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment.
