Service Tech- Residential & Commercial

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a well-established, family-owned heating and air conditioning company serving Central Florida for over 30 years. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with experience servicing both residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter who takes pride in quality workmanship, provides exceptional customer service, and enjoys working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Essential Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups.
• Able to represent company accordingly.
• Inspect equipment and recommend repair or replacement options when appropriate.
• Perform refrigerant diagnostics, leak detection, and system charging.
• Read wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
• Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings with customers.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

 

Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required

• Minimum 5 years of residential and commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration cycles, airflow, electrical controls, and HVAC system performance.
• Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues.
• EPA Certification required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid Florida Driver License with a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• NATE Certification preferred.
• Experience with rooftop units (RTUs).
• Experience servicing all major HVAC brands.
• Preventative maintenance experience.
• Heat pump and gas furnace experience.
• Light commercial service experience.
