Our client, a respected not-for-profit organization serving the Akwesasne community, is seeking a motivated and organized Administrator to join their team on a 6 to 12-month contract, with the potential for extension or permanent placement.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting a mission-driven organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, coordinating administrative activities, and supporting programs that positively benefit the community.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the first point of contact, responding to inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Coordinate communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Schedule meetings and manage calendars.
- Maintain office supplies and coordinate office service requests.
- Handle printing, scanning, faxing, and document translation requests.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, and shipments.
- Maintain filing systems and support records management.
- Assist with document preparation, correspondence, and presentations.
- Support marketing initiatives and mass communication campaigns.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient office operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of administrative experience required
- 1-2 years of financial or data entry experience is an asset
- Experience in shipping, logistics, inventory management, or event coordination is a strong asset
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred
- Bilingualism is an asset, particularly proficiency in Indigenous/First Nations languages
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and coordination abilities
- Proficient with technology and office software
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to follow established processes
- Adaptable, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Builds positive relationships and works collaboratively with others
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, empathy, and accountability
- Willing to seek guidance and take initiative when needed
Wage: $33.32 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm
Location: This is a fully in-office role located in Akwesasne, with no remote work option available
