Express Employment Professionals in Allen TX is seeking a Electrical Engineer/Controls Engineer which  designs electrical control systems for bakery equipment, they test and commission these systems in a bakery environment.

 

Essential Functions:
• Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and
conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
• Confirms system’s and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing
properties.
• Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing
manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
• Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building
and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
• Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products
and systems capabilities
• Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and
trends.
• Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established
procedures.
• Maintains product data base by writing computer programs; entering data.
• Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in
professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Write PLC and HMI programs from scratch.
• Provide complete control schematics for equipment based on company and customer
specs.
• Provide panel layouts in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of related experience as an
automation specialist.
• 4+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing or plant setting.
• Experience in controls highly preferred
• Computer literate. Knowledgeable with Project Management and MS Office software.
• Knowledge of essential software/hardware, such as, Autocad, Rockwell Studio 5000 and
Factory Talk Studio, Powerflex 525 drives, Allen-Bradley PLCs, etc.
• High electrical aptitude.
• High automation aptitude.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Specific operating knowledge of Bread, Roll, Cake, and Pie Bakeries.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills’ ability to work cross functionally to
drive business solutions.

• Proficient with computer-assisted design (CAD) software.

analyze, and understand the needs/wants of others.

 

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the candidate is required regularly to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
