Box Truck Driver – Local Shuttle Between Two Buildings

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable Box Truck Drivers to transport materials between two local facilities using a 24-foot box truck. This is a hands-on position that includes loading, securing, transporting, and unloading freight while maintaining clear communication with dispatch and customers.

Schedule

• Friday to Sunday: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load freight into a 24-foot box truck using a manual pallet jack.
• Push and pull loads weighing 300-600 lbs.
• Secure freight with straps to ensure safe transportation.
• Verify all required items are loaded before departure.
• Operate the box truck safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Unload freight at customer locations.
• Notify customers when items exceed 600 lbs so they can provide forklift or powered-equipment assistance.
• Use a smartphone to:
  • Review and access orders
  • Receive route and job directions
  • Communicate with dispatch and customers
• Maintain accurate documentation and a professional customer-service approach.
