Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Materials Handler for a local sporting goods warehouse in Sparta, TN. This position supports the Embroidery and Laser Department by ensuring products and materials are accurately staged, organized, and delivered throughout the customization process. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse material handling experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and organize products designated for embroidery and laser customization.
• Accurately move materials between production, storage, and shipping areas.
• Verify product numbers, quantities, colors, and customization requirements before processing.
• Ensure materials are delivered to the correct workstations in a timely manner.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Maintain organized staging areas and workspaces.
• Assist with packing and preparing completed orders for shipment.
• Inspect products for accuracy and quality throughout the production process.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Support additional warehouse and production functions as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous material handling or warehouse experience required.
• Experience in order fulfillment, inventory control, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors before production.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Ability to safely move products and materials throughout the facility.
